Accidents happen too frequently with firearms. I don't care for public ranges for this reason (I am blessed to belong to a club where safety is highly regarded). Anywhere people might
be carrying can be a danger (a gun store is the location for tonight's example). But the bottom line is that people can memorize the safety rules--which is good--but it is not enough. You have to live those rules in every move you make with a firearm. I would hazard a guess that most negligent discharges happen off the
firing line, when people are holstering, unholstering, clearing, practicing a draw etc. This video shows a terrible accident that a little more conscious effort in living the safety rules might have obviated. Don't become a victim of natural selection...
