Carl Fisher defines the word patriot. Son of a career Marine, a former Army Ranger and contractor to the government who served repeatedly in the war zones post 9-11. He is utterly reliabe in a stressful situation. From an overhead video feed, I watched him miraculously survive an IED blast in Afghanistan placed by insurgents in a village wall weeks in advance knowing that if they fired down the main street, commandos would take cover in the side streets. As a small business owner of a sports bar, he was constantly raising money for veteran causes. He was a fire arms instructor for the govnerment. One night, in the span of a few seconds, everything changed for Carl when he was confronted by a man with firearm. His is a cautionary tale and one that every citizen who carries a fire arm should contemplate. He was recently on the pod cast "Iron Sights". Click on the link to hear his story.
